How To Get Rid Of Yeast Infections

By Keke Lexmarkton

It may not be the easiest thing to talk about, but yeast infections happen to way to many women across the world for us to stay silent any longer. Everyone thinks about yeast infections as these secretive little events that women just suffer through, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Simply put, there is hope for women with yeast infections, and there are natural ways that we can all cure and even help prevent yeast infections from happening again. Even if its hard to talk about, women need to know how to help themselves when a yeast infection shows up.

The first step in finding the right cure is to figure out if you have a yeast infection at all. The most common sign of an infection is vaginal burning or itching. If it feels like you have a rash on your vagina or it hurts to pee, chances are you have a yeast infection.

Other common indicators include sensitivity during intercourse and strong odors of the vagina. Essentially, any unnatural pain or smell is a clue that you may have a yeast infection. That doesn't mean that every odor and irritation has to be a yeast infection, but it is highly likely.

After you've figured out that you have a yeast infection, you can use some simple techniques to fix it. Yogurt applied directly to the infection is one of the best ways to get quick results. The bacteria in kill the yogurt helps the infection, as long as the yogurt is unsweetened. Sugar only enhances the infection, so it is recommended to remove as much sugar as you can from your diet to see the best results.

Yeast dislikes oxygen as much as it likes sugar, so allowing the infection to breath is a good way to kill it off. A woman should wear skirts or loose fitting clothing to let as much oxygen to the air as she can, even going naked if possible.

If you suffer from chronic yeast infections, its probably because you don't have enough yeast fighting bacteria in your diet. Try eating food or taking pills rich in acidophilus and probiotics, which will help fight the infection before they reach the surface. Eating yogurt will help in the same way.

See? That wasn't so bad now was it. You got over your fear of talking about yeast infections and learned that getting relief really isn't that hard. If you try to stop the infections at the very beginning, you can see much faster results. Feel free to talk to your friends about what you've learned so that other people can get the same comfort you do. You may just make one woman a little bit happier.
