Awaken From Your Sleep

By Carrie Spry

One day I woke up from my unconscious living and realized I had no control over my life. It was on autopilot. I was making decisions, but I was doing it unconsciously. I didn't even realize how I got where I was. My life feels like a dream. The only thing that does feel real to me is right here in this moment. I wish I had actually enjoyed the past years of my life. I'm not saying I didn't have fun, I'm saying I simply lived unconsciously.

I came to a realization. If I really wanted to be happy, I would have to begin to make conscious decisions. Before, there were mostly pre-conditioned answers that would just spout out of my mouth, often without a thought. When I need to make a decision, I would like to consciously think about it, be there in the moment, and base my decisions on that.

This is your chance to wake up. What did you do today? Was is the same as yesterday, did you perform the same functions and in the same manner? WAKE UP! Enjoy your life. We as a global community are all awakening, I don't know yet what we are awakening to, but we are awakening, none the less. A must read is Eckhart Tolle's book "A New Earth." If you are not that fond of reading, you can check out Oprah's and Eckhart's on line web classes. The knowledge is amazing.

If you learn to live consciously, more positive changes will occur in your life. Keep your mind open, try watching "The Secret" or "Zeitgeist." Those movies will help to expand your mind. If these movies are even the slightest peak at our futures, it will be an amazing one. I'm not telling you how to think. Just look at the information and make your own decisions.

The Earth is shifting at an alarming pace. Outside influences are no longer shaping our beliefs and decisions. We are searching for our own truths and becoming more independent. And because we are in the 21st century, we will not be killed for thinking differently. There are still some who are uncomfortable with change, however, the numbers are beginning to dwindle. I'm challenging you to wake up and make your own decisions.
